Mel also makes an appearance in the cool comic shop location in Ghost World.

This is, of course, all kinds of appropriate since Mel was designed by Dan Clowes, who also co-wrote the film based on his graphic novel of the same name.

You can watch the clip I captured this from here, and be sure to check out the Enid 15″ Fashion Doll in our online store.

(You’ll notice Brian Posehn in the trailer, a man who’s already appeared in Meltdown Mel’s Hollywood Retrospective by his own right)

Here’s an oddity from the vaults of 2001: Monkeybone!

In the film (based on the Dark Town graphic novel by Kaja Blackley), actor Brendan Fraser sports a Mel shirt after having his body taken over by his trouble-making cartoon creation, Monkeybone.
