Iron Man (Post-production, May 2008)

Notes: Everything shown looks great, totally trustworthy talent involved.

The Hulk (Filming, June 2008)

Notes: Great talent, should be far better than the first.

Batman: The Dark Knight (Filming, July 2008)

Notes: More great talent, should be stellar like the first movie.

Hellboy 2 (Filming, July 2008)

Notes: First was fun, second probably is too.

Punisher 2 (Pre-production, 2008)

Notes: Good talent involved, should be improvement over tepid first movie.

Watchmen (Pre-production, March 2009)

Notes: Great director, unknown cast, difficult work to adapt, fingers crossed.

Superman: Man of Steel (Script in development, target date summer 2009)

Notes: Please, drop the Superboy idea. I still trust Singer, though.

The Spirit (Pre-production, 2009)

Notes: It’s Frank Miller, of course it’s going to be good.

Wolverine (Pre-production, 2009)

Notes: Origin story, good premise, would be really hard to mess up.

Sin City 2 (Pre-production, studio hold-ups)

Notes: Weinsteins are holding up this sure-fire hit for unknown reasons.

Thor (Director set and lead approached)

Notes: Great director named gives confidence for a good one.

Captain America (Script in development)

Notes: Origin story isn’t really that interesting, fingers crossed.

Ant-Man (Script in development)

Notes: Does anyone care about this movie at all?

Justice League of America (Script in development)

Notes: Solid director, great property, Jon Stewart ices the cake.

Magneto (Script in development)

Notes: Better hurry, the lead is old!

Sub-Mariner (Script in development)

Notes: Lack of recent announcements could be bad

Silver Surfer (Script in development)

Notes: Did the crushing bad reviews of FF2 dampen this project?

The Avengers (Script in development)

Notes: A no-brainer, this one will surely happen eventually.

Teen Titans (Script in development)

Notes: Project has perfect demographics studio looks for, this is a lock.

Green Hornet (Script writer set)

Notes: The involvement of Seth Rogan makes this worth keeping track of.

Spider-Man 4 (Looking for writer)

Notes: Meetings have been held, could be new talent though.

Dr. Strange (Recently rumored for announcement)

Notes: Really hoping this is true. Dr. Strange is awesome.

 

Not likely anytime soon (if at all):

Deathlok (Script in limbo?)

Notes: Probably (luckily) won’t happen… Robocop is so 1980s.

Iron Fist (Script in limbo?)

Notes: Who cares, Iron Fist sucks.

Black Panther (Offered to Singleton)

Notes: Could be marginally interesting if it actually happens.

Luke Cage (Offered to Singleton)

Notes: Who cares, Luke Cage sucks.

Daredevil 2 (License currently unavailable to Marvel)

Notes: Affleck wouldn’t be involved, so it could be good?

Flash (Development limbo)

Notes: The Flash is really not that exciting on screen. Hence, it’s in limbo.

Hawkeye (No announcements in 2 years)

Notes: Don’t hold your breath.

Power Pack (No announcements in 2 years)

Notes: Again, don’t hold your breath.
