The Steward is back! After the critical success of the first DAYS MISSING series, Roddenberry Productions and Archaia are proud to present the return of the enigmatic Steward in a brand-new miniseries, DAYS MISSING: KESTUS, kicking off with the release of issue #1 on Nov. 3rd!

To celebrate, we’re hosting a Release Party and Signing Event at Meltdown Comics, featuring DAYS MISSING creator Trevor Roth, executive editor Rod Roddenberry and letterer Troy Peteri! They’ll be on hand to sign copies of DAYS MISSING: KESTUS #1 (featuring a sweet cover by the awesome Alex Ross), which will be available for purchase. If you’re new to the DAYS MISSING universe, copies of the hardcover collecting the first miniseries will be on hand as well!

DAYS MISSING: KESTUS continues the saga of The Steward, a mysterious being whose ability to “fold” days of time has resulted in critical human events being absent from our historical record. Their existence is not remembered…but the occurrences of these days have forever changed the course of our evolution.

Since humanity’s birth, The Steward has stood as a guiding force for our species. But now, he is not alone! The emergence of the ancient being, Kestus, may put everything he knows in question, and the future of those he means to protect in jeopardy. This series is rated T +13 (contains material suitable for readers age 13 and above).

We’ll be offering free soft drinks and beer (21 and over for the beer, please!), and the GRILLED CHEESE TRUCK will be set up outside of Meltdown selling gourmet grilled cheese and tater tots! It’s a win for everyone!

Skelanimal plush, books, toys, and key chains available at Meltdown Comics/Sunset Blvd.

The craziness spills over from last week as Ed Laroche joins us for another round and comedian/TV personality/mustache about town Jonah Ray stops by to discuss comedy (he hosts a new comedy show, The Meltdown, at Meltdown Comics every Wednesday night starting this week!), fragmentation of audience, Hawaiian non-culture, power-violence bands, and the hazards of commissioning Johnny Ryan to draw someone you know and love.

We then ponder Shaenon K. Garrity’s recent essay predicting the future of comics and do some prognosticating of our own before giving SUPERMAN: EARTH ONE an in-depth analysis and the usual discussion of what we’ve been reading this week.
