THE VAULT UNLOCKS THE FINAL CHAPTER
AT MELTDOWN COMICS

When THE VAULT debuted last summer, critics and fans took notice with positive reviews and immediate sell outs for both issues #1 and #2. The first miniseries comes to a close with issue #3 and Meltdown Comics is proud to announce that creator/writer Sam Sarkar will be on hand October 26th, starting at 7:00 P.M., to sign copies. In addition to having issues #1-3, Meltdown will also have copies of the exclusive New York Comic Con limited edition of issue #3.

Published by Image Comics, THE VAULT is about a small team of treasure hunters, struggling to excavate a dangerous and legendary treasure pit before a massive storm hits Sable Island, the “Graveyard of the North Atlantic.” Equipped with all the latest technology, the scientists believe they are prepared against all of nature’s fury, but nothing can prepare them for what they are about to unleash.

Be there for the LA premiere of Warren Ellis: Captured Ghosts, a feature length documentary that examines the life, work and ideas of comic book writer and cyberpunk philosopher, Warren Ellis. The film features extensive interviews with Warren himself, as well as friends and collaborators like Joss Whedon, Helen Mirren, Wil Wheaton, Patton Oswalt and many more.

Catch the film hot off its premiere at the Napa Valley Film Festival and stick around afterwards for a Q&A with the film’s director, Patrick Meaney and a TBA special guest!

“Pretty? Pretty?” is the phrase uttered by Divine as Dawn Davenport, when her bandages are removed after a disfiguring acid attack in John Waters’ 1974 film, Female Trouble. Pretty? Pretty? A Divine Art Show is a celebration of this iconic actor, pop star and cinematic legend, as interpreted by an eclectic, wide-ranging collection of artists, opening at Meltdown Gallery on Friday, November 11th at 8:00 PM.

With his first group show, curator Lawrence Snelly (a visual artist himself) has assembled a diverse gang of talented and creative degenerates ready to show the world what “The World’s Most Beautiful Woman” means to them. The show’s roster is an eclectic cross-section of animators, cartoonists, illustrators, comic book artists, crafters, designers, musicians, sculptors and painters, all paying tribute to one of cult film’s most enduring favorites through a variety of mediums.

Opening night festivities will feature select artists in attendance (schedules permitting), special guest stars, live DJ, free booze, drag’s finest performers and more special Divine-themed surprises.

Writing a book, hippie?! Crime is beauty and excitement is not always clean. Come and see “The Filthiest Woman Alive” as you’ve never seen him before! Join us for a celebration of one of the greatest pop icons of the 20th Century. A man without equal. A man known simply as DIVINE!

The grand opening is Friday, November 11th at 8:00-11:00 PM with the show running through Nov. 17th.

It’s Official: October game days are FREE!

Starting this Thursday October 13, we will be gaming every Thursday and Sunday! Two days a week for your gaming pleasure.

Thursdays 5-10 Sundays 11am-6pm Three different gaming times on Sunday: 11-6, 11-4 & 2-6

Walk-ins are welcome however it does help us know how many DMs we need if you do RSVP. You can RSVP up to the moment we start gaming by emailing me at DnD@meltcomics.com. Also join our meetup group for a speedier RSVP: meetup.com/DnDMelt

All of October is Free!!!

Starting November 1st you can sign up to our monthly membership allowing you entry into any game day with refreshments, 10% off of all Meltdown merchandise and entry into the raffles for only $25.00 per month. Otherwise entrance into each game day is $10 which covers snacks, drinks and table reservation.
