About the book (from MedallionMediaGroup.com):

Photographing this unique project is Hollywood photographer Eric Curtis.Independent filmmaker and funny man Scott Allen Perry (a.k.a. SAP) wrote the book along with the chemically imbalanced Medallion Media Group president, Adam Mock.  Josh “Ponceman” Perry (Retarded Policeman, Free Radiopersonality) mimed the foreword.

A hilarious, visual smorgasbord of some of life’s most awkward moments, Mime Very Own Book will leave you speechless!  It’s an eclectic mix of pop culture, social commentary, and parodies of fairy-tale favorites.

Words can’t describe the feeling you’ll have after reading Mime Very Own Book!

Doug Jones:

Doug Jones is the man behind the make-up in countless iconic film and TV roles. He starred as Abe Sapien in the “Hellboy” movie franchise, The Silver Surfer in “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer,” both Fauno and The Pale Man in Guillermo Del Toro’s Oscar-winning film “Pan’s Labyrinth” and Billy Butcherson in the Halloween classic “Hocus Pocus.”  Doug’s early career included mime performance, a role he reprised for the creation of “Mime Very Own Book.”

Hi, we’re Liz Ohanesian and Shannon Cottrell and we’re pleased to announce our new collaboration with Meltdown Comics. Once a week, we will bring Meltdown visitors a unique glimpse into the lives of people who create pop culture through interviews and photo shoots.

For the past four years, we’ve worked together to dig deeper into a side of entertainment that often eludes the mainstream. We have covered comic book conventions, cosplay meet-ups and even a Star Wars-themed burlesque show. We’ve interviewed and photographed a wide range of creative people, from artist Shag to The Venture Bros.‘ Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer.

We have contributed extensively to L.A. Weekly, where Liz writes the twice-weekly column, Cult Stars, and Shannon frequently photographs events. Liz has also written for Boing Boing, Topless Robot, FEARnet, Vegas Seven and many other publications. Shannon’s work has appeared in BlackBook Magazine, Maxim.com, Hollywood Style Scene and UnseenSouthLAnd. Shannon has also been featured in the recent shows, “Sweet Streets,” “Em & Co: Discarded” and “L.A. Art in Numbers.”
