Inspired by the ideas and lyrics of Fall Out Boy, tells the story of a brilliant young robot maker who risks his entire company for his factory’s newly produced android named Tiffany as she becomes his greatest passion and potentially his own destruction. FALL OUT TOY WORKS teams Wentz with Darren Romanelli AKA  “DRx”, the ground breaking designer behind the reinterpretations of Nike, Looney Tunes and Black Sabbath, and writer Brett Lewis, the acclaimed creator of BULLETPROOF MONK and The Wintermen. Art chores will be handled by Sam Basri of Imaginary Friends Studios, the art studio behind the art for Radical’’s Hercules: The Thracian Wars, Caliber: First Canon of Justice and Steve Nile’’s City of Dust.

AT MELTDOWN COMICS

 

Celebrated artist and Fall Out Boy, bassist and lyricist, Pete Wentz will sign copies of band’s new comic book series, “FOB Presents Fall Out Toy Works” on Tuesday, September 1st at a special midnight signing session at Meltdown Comics on 7522 Sunset Boulevard. The result of an extraordinary combination of creative minds, Fall Out Toy Works is an anthology loosely based on the Fall Out Boy song “Tiffany Blews” from the band’s current multi-platinum CD “Folie à Deux.”

Wentz, a huge comic book aficionado, will personally deliver the first 100 issues to the store and be on hand to meet fans and sign copies of the first edition in the series, along with the co-creator, LA based designer Darren Romanelli and Nathan Cabrera.

The five issue, miniseries was envisioned by Wentz and Romanelli, penned by acclaimed writer Brett Lewis (Bulletproof Monk), brought to life with art by Sam Basri of Imaginary Friends Studios, and in partnership with Jeff Krelitz of Double Barrel Motion Labs. The story follows the complex relationship between the creator, The Toymaker, and the created, the android Tiffany, who embark on a turbulent ride in a world of unscrupulous characters and sinister plans to find the true meaning of life and love.
