MAYHEM COMES TO MELTDOWN!

TYRESE GIBSON’S MAYHEM, the most anticipated and talked about comic book of the summer is finally arriving to Meltdown on August 5, 2009. Published by Image Comics, MAYHEM has gotten major media coverage from CNN to MTV to USA TODAY and the buzz alone has sent shock-waves throughout the industry. New issues day got super-sized and super interesting tonight when TRANSFORMERS star Tyrese Gibson dropped in to buy comics and chat up the 9:40 p.m. traffic getting their weekly reads at Meltdown Sunset Bd. location. The hardest working man in Multimedia proudly showed off the latest issue of Diamond Comics Preview catalog (a massive, maze-like, comics trade publication) to everyone that was getting ringed out at the front counter. In the current Previews, MAYHEM! #1 has been awarded the coveted title of “GEM OF THE MONTH” with a two page spread showcasing inside art pages and issue #1 cover art.

The patrons got ignited with Tyrese contagious energy and several of them ended up pre-ordering MAYHEM! #1 on the spot. All these folks got MAYHEM! T-Shirts personalized to them since Co-creators of MAYHEM! Will Wilson and Mike Le had some with them.

Complex columnist Percy Carey a.k.a. MF Grimm and the MLT;s GM were in the back discussing the unprecedented roll out campaign of MAYHEM! and the massive success it is having via Tyrese Twitter 2.0 connectivity to his fans. Fun night was had by staff and customers alike at Meltdown Sunset Blvd. when Tyrese Gibson and his team MAYHEM! stopped by to get their weekly comics fix. Art was shown, books where pre-sold, MAYHEM! T-shirts signed and given out to any one who pre-ordered MAYHEM! in-store during that moment, plus other MAYHEM! ensued. Pics and Text coming!
