Adult Swim teams up with Carl Jones, the producer of the hit animated series “The Boondocks” and Grammy-winning recording artist T-Pain to debut Freaknik: The Musical March 7, 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Adult Swim. Freaknik: The Musical is voiced by an all-star cast headlined by T-Pain and featuring Lil Wayne, Cee-Lo, Rick Ross, Big Boi, Snoop Dogg, Mack Maine, Charlie Murphy, DJ Drama, DJ Pooh, Affion Crocket, Kel Mitchell, Carl(Tubesteak)Jones, Bootsy Collins, George Clinton, Kelis, Lil Jon, Sophia Fresh, William “Clip” Payne and Young Cash. Ten years after the city of Atlanta shut down Freaknik, the biggest spring break party known to man, a group of kids searching for fun successfully resurrect the spirit of Freaknik, who appears in the form of a party ghost voiced by T-Pain. Students from all over America once again descend on Atlanta to perform in Freaknik’s Battle of the Trillest.
Freaknik: The Musical is created and executive produced by Carl(Tubesteak) Jones and Nick Weidenfeld. T-Pain is also executive producer.
Freaknik: The Musical is produced for Adult Swim by Titmouse Inc.

Host Juan-Manuel Rocha welcomes mega-producer Don Murphy (Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Shoot ‘Em Up), animation and video game writer/producer Flint Dille (GI Joe, Transformers), along with comedians Tom Franck (Comics and Comics), Asterios Kokkinos (Cracked Magazine, NPR’s Marketplace) and Claude Stewart (Comics Unleashed, Last Comic Standing) as they explore the series’ cultural impact and social significance, the movie adaptations, and all things giant robot!

Comics On Comic writes in: Don’t Forget – Transformers 2 Producer Don Murphy @ Meltdown Comics This Saturday! To all guests of Comics on Comics with Transformers 2 Producer Don Murphy! Folks, we hate to bother you all the time; we really do. But at the same time, we’re so super-excited to have such an awesome lineup for this weekend’s show that we wanted to gently remind you that it’s all happening THIS SATURDAY and that it’s ALL FREE. You heard that right, folks. Who else but Comics on Comics gives you the chance to see a hilarious, two hour geek talk show featuring A-list creators and comedians – for FREE? To quote ’80s comedy superstar Yakov Smirnoff, “America! What a country!”

If you can find a better deal this weekend, it probably involves Brazilian supermodels, an attache case full of unmarked 100 dollar bills, and bags of substance that would get you arrested should the authorities become involved (in which case we forgive you for blowing us off). But if not, we totally expect to see you this Saturday. Come on, don’t let us down! That’s what siblings are for.

Oh, and did we mention that it’s FREE? We did? Oh. Well, THIS is awkward.
