We’re breaking into a new age as we bring aboard comics maestro Sam “The Hammer” Humphries in part 1 of a 2 part series! Sam is the former “architect” of Myspace Comics and is currently writing comics. He joins us for the entirety of the show as we discuss VICE MAGAZINE COMICS, FUNRAMA, X-MEN #522, THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD, CHOKER, SCALPED, SWEET TOOTH, HUNTER’S FORTUNE, AMERICAN VAMPIRE, X-MEN: SECOND COMING, FANTASTIC FOUR #577, THE SWORD, and BLACKEST NIGHT.

And–to cap it all off,–Sam breaks down what this Saturday’s release of the Apple iPad could mean for comic fandom everywhere!

The fire’s lit today as the gang shreds into books like NEW AVENGERS #62, FANTASTIC FOUR #576, THOR #607, BATMAN & ROBIN #9, and later discusses the news of the (last) week in which Geoff Johns, Jim Lee and others are shuffled around in the DC hierarchy. Oh, and in an unusual turn of events, Chris sings a lot in this episode. For real.

Toss out those old opinions and put on a new perspective as Caleb leads the charge by dropping the bombshell of Siege #2 being his favorite book of the week. In the fallout, the boys discuss Marvel’s hot book of the week at length, and also meander around FANTASTIC FOUR by Hickman and Eaglesham, SMILE written and illustrated by Raina Telgemeier, briefly touch on GHOST RIDERS, SCALPED, and finally wrap up our Spidey discussion (or do we?)

In the second segment, rumors fly as we (hopefully) crush the notion that anything good can come out of WATCHMEN 2 ever being made. Ever.
