This week you get twice the episodes for the same price! In Part 1, the show reaches critical mass as pop culture raconteur Jonathan Ross (the man described by Mark Millar as the British “Letterman, Stern, Siskel & Ebert all rolled up in a Saville Row suit”) and guest interviewer Sam “The Hammer” Humphries join us to discuss Ross’s new comic from Image with artist Tommy Lee Edwards: TURF! He shows us how a real radio presenter does it and we delve into all manner of topics, including his work in radio and TV as a host and presenter at the BBC, where his love of comics originated, his vast comic book and comic art collection, Steve Ditko, Mark Millar’s deficiencies in bed and much much more.

Featuring all four costumed vigilantes, the final poster (though we know there are usually a few more posters following the “final” image) is labeled with the tag line “Shut Up. Kick Ass.”

Previously, we brought you the news that “Kick-Ass” was primed to open the South By Southwest Film Festival in Austin, TX. The official premiere date for the film is April 16, 2010.

The heat is on as the crew dives into part two of the event talk, which this week goes from the Bruce Banner of calm discussion to rampaging Hulk-level destruction of debate! After kicking things off by allowing Aaron to blather about the beautiful ROCKETEER: THE COMPLETE ADVENTURES by Dave Stephens from IDW,  we chat up SIEGE #1, argue about what we would have done differently for the issue, and discuss Marvel and DC’s future plans. In our second segment, we switch gears and talk about the recent news about Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man film series being shelved, and discuss what we want from the reboot. Next week we talk about Spider-Man… wait for it… comics.

***BONUS*** At some point in this episode, Chris says something NOT negative about Mark Millar. I swear.
