Greetings, True Believer! THE HAROLD OF GALACTUS is an improvised comic book. Five improvisers get suggestions from the audience and — right there — brainstorm a brand-new superhero. The next 30 minutes is a whirlwind of action and comedy, jumping from “Golden Age” adventures to a darker, modern version and back to the glorious 60′s era, complete with giant, Kirby-sized jaws.
The second act is always changing, always hilarious, and always improvised. Previous genres include Dungeons & Dragons, Video Games, and Zombie Movie.
Featuring Mark Meer, the voice of Commander Shepard in the Mass Effect video game series!

ZOMBIES INVADE MELTDOWN COMICS FOR “BRAIN EATER’S BIBLE” BOOKSIGNING

Mad TV Alum Pat Kilbane Unveils Illustrated Zombie Manifesto

Hollywood, CAOn March 16th from 6:00-8:30pm, Meltdown Comics is hosting the world premiere release event for The Brain Eater’s Bible, a field manual and manifesto for the reanimated dead.  Author Pat Kilbane (Mad TV, Seinfeld, Semi-Pro) will be on hand for the signing, along with makeup effects artist Dean C. Jones, who designed the book’s creatures.  As Brain Eater’s was written for zombies, anyone attending the event in zombie regalia will get 20% off of the book’s $19.95 cover price.

Best known for his work on the screen, Kilbane got the idea for Brain Eater’s while shooting Day of the Dead in Bulgaria.  “As an actor, you always want to get into your character, even when you’re playing a zombie,” the author says, “so I spent a long time trying to see the world from a zombie’s point of view.”

The resulting book is a carefully constructed take on the science and ethos of zombies.  Its features include:

  • Full-color
  • Hardcover
  • Zombies designed by Emmy-winning effects man Dean C. Jones
  • Hundreds of photos, diagrams and anatomical drawings
  • Zombie facts gathered from interviews with brain surgeons, immunologists, and Navy SEALs

“I’m really proud of the end result,” Kilbane says, “Horror fans are very dedicated, so I was happy to put in the extra effort.”

Can’t make the signing? Signed copies available here.
