BRIAN K. VAUGHAN + FREE COMIC BOOK DAY AT MELTDOWN

BRIAN K. VAUGHAN is one of the hottest comic creators working today,
regularly topping the Eisner and Harvey Award nomination lists. He�
written for every major DC and MARVEL superhero title from Batman to X-Men,
and co-created several highly-acclaimed comics, including THE HOOD,
RUNAWAYS, EX MACHINA, and Y: THE LAST MAN (recently optioned for film by New
Line Cinema). His work has earned raves from the likes of USA Today, The
Washington Post, Entertainment Weekly, JANE magazine, TIME, and countless
others.

SATURDAY, MAY 6 marks the fifth annual FREE COMIC BOOK DAY (FCBD), an event
designed to celebrate and promote the comic book as one of America�s most
beloved and ever-evolving artforms. Participating retailers give out free
comics provided by various publishers, who often create special editions
especially for the occasion. Free comics should be incentive enough to visit
Meltdown on May 6, but the all-new 11 page X-MEN/RUNAWAYS crossover story
Vaughan has created for Marvel�s FCBD comic will give his ardent fans even
more to be happy about. Better yet, Vaughan will be on hand to sign copies
of his FCBD comic, among others.
